- Chi Kung (chi gong, QiGong) Master Class
Description:
This is a Master's class on chi and chi kung (qigong). Ideal for instructors who are seeking to increase their knowledge base to share with students. This presentation by Sifu Allen covers the concept of chi, it's purpose in one's health, how chi kung exercises are similar to programs such as Iron Vest, and to Tai Chi and the dissimilarities of chi kung exercises to Pa Kua (bagua) and even the Lo Han Shou.
Additionally, Sifu Allen explains how chi kung differs from training in the 'hard styles' or 'external' forms of Chinese martial arts such as strength training programs such as the Stone Warrior or fighting forms.
This full and detailed instruction (nearly two hours!) covers the movement of the chi, how it can be augmented and balanced; how to manipulate it for health and fighting, as well the many, many health benefits to be derived from training on such exercises. A great deal of little known knowledge is covered in this class.
Most of these come in sets of two from five completely different kung fu systems, blended together by one master about 300 years ago. These are ideal for anyone interested in improving their health, whether you are training in the martial arts, or not: if you can move, you can learn and practice Chi Kung!
